2010 Board and Officer Elections

Voting member representatives convened on March 8, 2010, in Washington, DC, to elect new and continuing officers and members to the National Humanities Alliance Board of Directors.  Elections were held in conjunction with the Alliance's 30th Annual Meeting.  Michael Brintnall, Executive Director of the American Political Science Association (Washinton, DC) was elected NHA's new President for a two-year term ending 2012.  Mr. Brintnall replaces John Churchill, Secretary of The Phi Beta Kappa Society (Washington, DC), who remains on the board as NHA's Immediate Past President.  Pauline Yu, President of the American Council of Learned Societies (New York, NY), was re-elected Vice President for a second, two-year term ending 2012.  Board members re-elected for three-year terms (ending 2013) include: Richard Ekman, President of The Council of Independent Colleges (Washington, DC); Rosemary Feal, Executive Director of the Modern Language Association of America (New York, NY); and Robert Vaughan, President of the Virginia Center for the Humanities (Charlottesville, VA).  
 
On June 3, 2010, the NHA Board of Directors re-elected John Vaughn and Carol Schneider for two-year terms on the NHA Board of Directors (expiring 2012).
