2011 Board and Officer Elections

Voting member representatives convened on Monday, March 7, 2011, in Washington, DC, to elect new and continuing officers and members to the National Humanities Alliance Board of Directors.  Elections were held in conjunction with the Alliance's 31st Annual Meeting. John Churchill, NHA Immediate Past President, delivered the report of the 2011 NHA Nominating Committee.   

Officers

  • Linda Downs, representing the College Art Association, was elected NHA Secretary for a two-year term ending 2013.
  • David Schrader, representing the American Philosophical Association, was elected NHA Treasurer for a two-year term ending 2013.


Board Members

  • Lawrence Reger, representing Heritage Preservation, was re-elected to a three-year term ending 2014.
  • James Grossman, representing the American Historical Association, was elected to a three-year term ending 2014.
  • Douglas Greenberg, representing Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, was elected to a three-year term ending 2014.
  • Nancy Kidd, representing the National Communication Association, was elected to fill the remainder of a three-year term ending 2012.
