Policy Intern
The National Humanities Alliance (NHA) is a Washington, DC-based advocacy group dedicated to the advancement of research, education, preservation and public programs in the humanities. NHA seeks an intern interested in the policy process who has strong writing skills, is organized, and flexible. Ideally, candidates will have pursued a major in an area of the humanities.
Duties and responsibilities include: assisting with annual advocacy campaign, including preparation for NHA's annual advocacy day; attending and reporting on hearings; scheduling and participating in meeting with hill and agency staff; drafting issue updates for the web page and online newsletter; performing other assigned duties as necessary to carry out the advocacy goals of the alliance. This will be an unpaid internship.
