In May 2007, the National Humanities Alliance convened a working group on the National Agenda for the Humanities. The group met regularly in an effort to articulate a national agenda for the humanities in the 21st century based on challenges and opportunities identified by NHA members. One product from these meetings is a document titled “Now More Than Ever: Why America Needs the Humanities in the 21st Century”  (pdf)
