Sidney R. Yates Award for Distinguished Public Service to the Humanities

The NHA Distinguished Service Award recognizes national leaders who have made significant contributions to furthering work in the humanities.  In 2001, the award was renamed the Sidney R. Yates Award for Distinguished Public Service to the Humanities, in honor of the former Illinois congressman.
