Annual dues contributions are based on a member organization's size and interest in the humanities. The following dues formula was adopted at the 4/22/87 NHA Annual Meeting:
Recommended Contribution = (1/2 % annual operating budget) x (percentage of members concerned with or involved in the humanities)
Please note that this formula was designed primarily for organizations with individual members, and may not apply to humanities centers, organizations comprised of institutional members, or other non-individual members groups.
Membership in the National Humanities Alliance is open to organizations and institutions that sponsor or support individual scholars, programs of study in the humanities, and/or other activities in the humanities. Membership is limited to groups that are exempt from federal taxation under section n 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
