December 7, 2009 - The National Humanities Alliance will hold its 2010 Annual Meeting & Humanities Advocacy Day March 8-9 in Washington, DC at The George Washington University and on Capitol Hill.

The 2010 program will include:
- Panel discussions on the latest issues in humanities policy
- Luncheon and keynote address with NEH Chairman Jim Leach
- Briefings on federal funding and legislative priorities
- Capitol Hill reception
- Congressional visits
New advocate training will be provided on March 7 (6:00 – 7:30pm) prior to the official start of events.
Participation in these unique events will afford many opportunities to further develop advocacy skills, share information about your organization’s or institution’s work in the humanities with peers and policymakers, and better understand the current state of the humanities in light of the new Administration and economic downturn.
The fee to attend is $50. A block of rooms is reserved for participants at a discounted rate ($119/night on Sunday 3/7 and $219/night during 3/8 – 3/10) at the One Washington Circle Hotel.
