Impact Survey Toolkit

Documenting the Impact of the Humanities

Strong data documenting the impact of humanities programs are key to advocating for the humanities with policymakers, funders, and in the public square. With funding from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, we’ve created a toolkit to help you survey your programs.

If you have questions about using or adapting any of the resources here, contact NHA social science postdoctoral fellow, Emily McDonald,

With sections on constructing and administering surveys and interpreting and using data, and sample survey questions grouped by impact, our impact survey toolkit can help you begin to survey your humanities program or incorporate new questions into surveys you already have.
